Do DX drop-ins fit the 3-cell Surefires?

I was planning on getting the popular module for My G2 and D3 but I'm not sure if it fits the D3.

The D3 is basically a 9P and uses the 90/91 lamps.

Anyone?

This one says it's in-put can be up to 9V, it might work but I have no experience, try searching this thread.
