Does the new optics behave the same as the old optics.

Some CPF'ers have said there is a difference. I have both and I think the newer optics provide a more uniform even beam.

And as I recall, I didn't see the leads with the new optics. I'll have to recheck on that to be sure.

Are the new and old optics interchangeable? Same length? Also, how can you tell them apart? I'm not sure which ones I have.

New optics are flat on top, old have a conical ring and center lens on top.
