Does anybody know happened to Oveready? (Out of stock for several years)

I think the older offerings look better. I am not a fan of the direction they went aesthetically.

Oveready was my favorite P60 vendor for a decade plus. Their Delrin Diamondback tailcaps were excellent and I rocked them on multiple SF Nitrolon lights. I had lights built with their Smoothie and Cryos bezels, Delrin and SS bezel rings, etc etc. I also ordered batteries and Pila IBC chargers back in the day, Moddoo clips/tailcaps and even some Fury bodies.

All this was lost in a burglary. Shortly thereafter I ordered their "Unified Z70 Host" and it's my only OR product left. It is a piece of art, IMO. Great way to remember them.

That's a bummer. I really wish they continued building E series heads. Those were phenomenal, I'm always late to the game

update on oveready site:

Dear Customers,
It's been our joy and honor, providing your lighting needs throughout the years. With both health and logistics challenges, our ability to serve you is curtailed. We intend to keep the lights on, shipping from our remaining inventory. But for the foreseeable future, have had to cut back on both production and development.

So we are still fulfilling orders, but with a reduced schedule. You can order clips, orings, and other parts. But new products, announcements for them, and restocking of electronic and cnc intensive components will remain in hibernation.

Our time and energy to support products is also diminished. Please contact TorchLab, LUX-RC, and other companies directly, for support with their products. Our customer communities are also still active on places like Facebook.

Thank you,
Team Oveready

Just tried to buy a part that's in stock. Added to cart. Pop-up indicated added to cart. Display cart: Your Cart Is Currently Empty. Two different browsers. Dead end.

This happened to me on their webpage. You actually need to setup an account and the items will stay in your cart so you can purchase.

Thanks, but I have no account, although that likely wouldn't affect any of my (mostly positive) comments if I did. My order was fulfilled very quickly, is done and dusted, and they're on my 'approved vendor list'. Got no account though. I do expect minimal communication though.

Thanks! I will try creating an account and then try ordering again. It is, however worth noting that an account was not required for me to purchase and receive the very same part some months ago. TBD.

Thanks, and I will indeed create an account if the system now requires that. I have no choice but to try, because this is a 'single-source' item for me (NIB Elzetta ZFL head). I just wanted to alert users to the fact that the site does not work as it did some months ago, and they would likely conclude that it's a 'dead end', just as I did. It's neither 'right nor wrong', but it has (obviously) changed recently, and the site appears to provide no guidance in this matter. I don't care otherwise and am not really complaining, I just need the merch, and have found no other source;-)

Success! They'll take my money now! Thanks again! That was a lot of typing that wasn't required last time w/ PP payment (2 addresses, etc.), but I'm not lazy and type pretty well, so no problem; just wish the system had provided a clue. If I get the merch as last order, and I have no reason to doubt that I will, I'll be happy. Heck with communications, I'll gladly settle for just the merch, as I did last time. I understand when people are dealing w/ issues and not operating quite at 100%. That actually describes me pretty well right now too, and I wish them the best:)

I was fortunate enough to get one of these jewels, back in the day;

Have purchased a few other OR/TL things since then; I sincerely hope they come back to full operation at some point, most certainly.

It would seem that the price on the secondary, resale market just went up for Overready lights and parts. It also seems that those already in possession of such lights will not part with them except under extraordinary circumstances.

Open your wallets folks. 😥

I once committed to buying one of their leftover lights from a sci-fi movie Oblivion with Tom Cruise and when I sobered up the next morning asked if it was okay that I backed out. Dan replied no problem as I was one of his oldest best customers….

I will be selling off some of my OR lights, but hanging onto the wasp…

My original Oveready account was not recognized; could not establish a cart. Had to open a new account.

I'd be willing to sell an 18650 Oveready host with a (non-Oveready engine) in order to purchase one of Dan's Type II orange hosts; comes out to about $270.

B.O.S.S. 70 Earliest picture 2016. I believe it was from the first run. I can't remember ... What I do remember is that my Father had passed away
a few years earlier, when out of the blue a check from the United States Airforce appeared in our mailbox. He had made me the beneficiary of something.
I spent all of the funds purchasing the B.O.S.S. I consider it the last gift my dad gave me. 🥹

Circa 2022 - I think some liberally-poured adult beverages were consumed before pulling the trigger on this one. :yellowlaugh:

All these lights remain in my collection except for the Centurion. It was just too nice to carry and I hadn't yet come to the conclusion
that I was, indeed, a collector.
