I tried searching but can't get it to work. Just wondering if anyone EDC's the Surefire U2? I know it's head is a little bigger. I use a light alot at work and have to have a clicky so it's easer to turn on with one hand. I currently use the HDS with Arc 4 clip. I like the bezel down clip setup the U2 has. My work pants have bigger pockets, just wasn't sure how well the U2 works for pocket carry. I've got enough things attached to my belt so I've never been fond of holster carry.

I used to EDC for several months.
I found it very easy to turn on with one hand, though adjusting levels was much easier with two hands.

I found the bezel down carry MUCH better than the L5s bezel up carry.
It makes it so the larger head is down in the pocket, not taking up room of the pocket opening, so you can get you hand in easier.

I do not EDC the U2 but I have carried it full time on my belt for extended trips. To me the size was never a problem. The weak point to me is the plastic button in the clip which closes the gap between the clip and the body. Mine has cracked, even though I was not aware of the light recieving any particularly hard knocks. It remains secure but worries me slightly that it will crack further and I wil lose the light. Who knows, maybe I just got a bad one.

Over all though it is a great light and the high setting gives a really usefull throw for the size of the light.

The "volume control" is stiff, however it warms up after a few minutes on time and becomes much easier to use one handed.

I EDC my U2. I also carry 4 extra batteries in SF's carrier (which has a lanyard). I wear a travel vest, which has about 1000 pockets, so that is the reason I can carry my essentials. I will never succumb to carrying a messenger bag for men, so it's what I use, and maybe why I can carry all this stuff. To me, it just makes me feel secure that I can be prepared for just about any contingency (it's the old boy scout in me). Otherwise, without a vest or something with lots of pockets, it would be awkward to carry. I will never know why SF never made a lanyard for it. Jim
PS.. the U2 is still my favorite, but I was fortunate to win the luxeon lottery (no doughnut hole) and have never experienced any problems with it.

The button on my clip cracked also. It seems to be a weak point.
