i m planning to buy KL2 for my SF M6,
i have seen pictures somewhere here, someone put KL2 into M6 body, but im not sure, it could be turn on / not.

my question : can we use KL2 in M6? (using 3 cells)

please help. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif

It should be ok the M6 is 9volts two sets of 3 cells in series paralleled the M3 is also 9 volts.

You can put the KL2 on the M6 and run it using all six SF123As. I personally think the runtime isn't all that great for this combination as a lot of battery juice is wasted. I think that six SF123As should power the M6's Lamps and not 19 LEDs.

That would be because the KL2 isn't regulated? So I assume the KL6 will be a much better match. (as LEDs go, not discounting that the M6 is really designed for high power).

The KL2 isn't regulated in the same way as the Luxeon KL's this is true. The KL2 was created before SS2001 so technology has moved on leaps and bounds...

I am looking forward to the KL6 for the M3. It will look pretty strange on the M6 body I believe. The Millennium M3 & M6 cooling fins should help manage the heat from the KL6.

Call me wacky (sci-fi'd out), call me old fashioned (`50's? tailfins?), but I really dig the KL3 design. I'm not 'excited' about the looks of the new KL's. I wish they were a little 'meaner' looking (so that it wouldn't look strange on the M6.
