I thought i read that someone bought one there.Nothing came up on their website search. I'd appreciate a heads up if anyone knows, as we may be going to costo tommorow, and it'd save me shipping and a long wait !!

The only place that i know of that Sell's Inova's B&M is Target

Costco sells cheap HID's or Maglites but no Inova's at my Costco.

ah so,target ! BULLSEYE !! (pardon the pun). you know, maybe it was target i was thinking of after all. that works too. thanks jake.

Academy Sports sells them also, and cheaper (or same $$) than Target. They carry X1 gen2 for $20, Microlights gen 2 for $6, and X5T's for $30 (vs. $35 at Target).

We have an Orchard Supply & Hardware in Santa Barbara that carrys them. I think they're only in California, though.

My "local" (2 hour drive) Frys has a lot of Inova lights. Target is the only other option in my neck of the woods.

The Inova lights @ Costco was not a standard stock item. They had the XO2 last December (2006) for, I think $25.. Which is a steal.

But yes, the suggestions above on alternative places to buy Inova lights are good. Just wanted to let you know that Costco did have the Inova XO2 at one time..

If you're close to a hunting/fishing/sporting superstore - (think Cabelas, Bass Pro Shops, Sportsmans Warehouse) - they usually stock Inovas, including the higher end ones.

And those XO2s for $25 at Costco late last year were a bargain, that is if you like the TIROS optic. I kind of like the tight beam profile of it, plus the 5 hour runtime, and managed to buy a couple XO2s.

Sportsmans Warehouse is still selling the XO2 for $29.99.

Fry's has almost all the Inova models for very good prices. I got a 2007 T1 for $35 from them.

The two in my area sells those Dorcy 3xAAA Hawkeyes with direct-drive Luxeon I's. At $24/pair it's not a bad price but it's a shame they're not regulated... output falls pretty quickly and noticeably.

They did at one point, but Costco is one of those places where only about 50% of their inventory is really perpetual. There are many items that they will offer only 1 time throughout the year on a seasonal basis.

They gave out a book that gave a very detailed schedule as to when certain items are stocked. They also tend to buy these items in 1-2 huge bulk orders and when they're gone they're gone.

Unlike some places where you see racks of old merchandise Costco seems to have very optimal inventory control because things come in and go out in fairly quick order. They have very little sit around and when they do they mark it down and clear it out. That didn't happen with the Inovas. they got grabbed up quickly in my area.

bitslammer you are right. I have seen items there on the racks and when those sell out they don't reorder. So if you see something you what grab it because it may not be there next visit.
