I tested mine on a bench supply last month when assembling a light, and I would have noticed if it did not light up until Vf was exceeded. There is a lower limit in the specs somewhere. Daniel

I have been using this feature in my two stage switch mods where a resistor will drop the Vin below Vf. Depending on your power supply however, it may be that when your voltage drops below Vf, your batteries are well depleted and not much power is left.

Wildcat Enlightened Joined Nov 4, 2003 Messages 281 Location Kingwood, Texas, USA Apr 14, 2004 #4 I'm wanting to run a TVIK Lux III on a Hotlips using 2 Pila 150's. I know that the fresh cells push my Lux V at 1.8A, so it should fry a Lux III. Will this work with say a Downboy 1000 or 1200?
