Dreaming About The Possibility Of An Industry Standard Optic.

Hello All,

I was wondering if optics from Cree, and the Luxeon and the Phillips Rebel are interchangeable with each others lens holders as long as the diameters are kept the same. Looking to throw a Rebel or a Cree Optic into my EOS Headlamps and while the Rebel Optic may be compatible because of the Luxeon/Phillips connection, I was wondering about any feedback on the interchangeability of optics and optic holders of differing manufacturers.

They won't be optimal. Each optic is designed for the particular emitting pattern and height for the manufacturers device.
