Dressy Flashlight?

I think anything with knurling isn't dressy, and the light should be either black or silver. If you really want a metal light, I'd go for one of the Peak Leds lights in smooth stainless steel. Really though I'd just have a normal light kept out of sight, in a pocket or even on a neck lanyard under the shirt.

Surefire E2e is what i carry when going out on a formal event or something. It's small enough to go in the inside pocket of the jacket.

E2e in satin gray specifically... sweet light. Now if only it had the power of the U2 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You know, if Surefire made a E2L/L4 in Satin Gray it would be the best combo for a dressy light ever...it will always fire up when you need it being your only light(most likely, unless you are like me and carry a C3 on Pilas "just in case")

I'd say the Coast LED Lenser really go well with a suit. But all they've got is looks, they can't handle getting wet and take weird batteries. But they look great!

I have been looking for a SG L4 head with a SG Z57 clickie and basically, it hasn't happened yet. That would be truly sweet. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/drool.gif

I think that's part of my hangup. The thing that makes a lot of my SF lights seem unable to fill the task is the writing on them. Maybe it's perception or something, I dunno. .

Any black Inova, especially the X5. Though I love them, Surefire lights are all astoundingly ugly. The Orb is nice, but is WAY too heavy for something like this.

How about not wearing a flashlight in such occations? Or do you feel naked without a flashlight on you? I hope you not get offended that I ask you this.

I actually do not wear a flashlight on me at all, haven't got that far yet that I have bought me an EDC light.

NOT WEAR A FLASHLIGHT? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Two years ago, I got married wearing my First Run ARC LS in a black nylon pouch (no lettering) on my belt. Nowadays, my most formal looking lights are the standard VIP or the CPF Lionheart. The Super Baby Pin is not too casual either. Hey, I see a pattern here. Which one would James Bond carry to the Casino? VIP, I would think.

Black Mag 6D. It's almost tall enough to pass off as a formal cane, and if anyone gives you funny looks you can beat them to death with it...

My friend, if you are wearing a tuxedo you don't need to carry a flashlight…unless you are an usher. Take your driver's license and your credit card with the highest credit limit, fold five $20 bills around them, and put the packet in your pocket. Leave your lights, knives and multipurpose tools in the glove compartment of your car. You will be okay for a few hours…really.

Under normal circumstances I'd welcome you to CPF but I think perhaps you took a wrong turn to get here. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sick2.gif

Well, OK welcome to CPF. Resistance if futile.

One heck of a first post, Boomer! So, let's say you're the best man, and all of a sudden the power goes out. Naturally, you're in a centuries-old church, so there's obviously no emergency lighting. Of course, at the same time a breeze blows and all of the candles go out, leaving you in a completely darkened church with no lighting at all. Where's your credit card getting you now?? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Seriously, If I were going to be caught without something, I'd rather it be my driver's license and credit card than my knife and light. Of course, my wallet holds the license, cash, credit cards and Ti escape tool, so that's fine. Light is the only thing missing from the equation.

Of course, my lady would always have a purse light, but if we'd somehow become seperated, how would it look for her to "outshine" me?? :p
