Well, now that I've replaced the leds as well as the optics in my TripleShot, next on the list is to find a driver. I'm just beginning to look, but really could use some pointers.

First and foremost priority is reliability. No el cheapo DX boards, ya know? If I'm going to replace the stock driver, then I dont want to have a higher high and what not that not going to work when I need it to! Another problem I foresee is too many "bells and whistles." I'm not looking for 13 different flash modes, just high(1000mA)-low(350mA)-flash (not strobe). Does something this simple even exist anymore? Not looking to be spoon-fed, but maybe some suggestions?

without knowing the battery source no advise makes sense!!!

taskled and Sandwich Shoppe are the only good driver sources to be recommendet, You have to find Your perfect driver there.

(if You need a boost driver, the SHARK + an external four level switch for different sense resistors were nice, but Your flash is a prob. Only the more complex taskled drivers remain, good luck reading and understanding the manuals)

If I continue using the stock battery pack, I'll be running off 12.0V 2700mAh NiMH pack (ten AA's in series).

I'm not completely opposed to building a new pack if there is a particular advantage to running with higher voltage to the driver. I'd just need to find a method of sealing and securing.

TaskLED and SS, huh? I'll have to check them out.

Well, good advice on taskled. The bflex appears to be exactly what I will need... Its a shame about the momentary switch thing, though. I really don't want to wire in a different switch from stock. Perhaps some type of conjigering can be done, I don't know...

Check the existing switch. Some will act as a momentary by not pushing through the 'click'. I found that to be the case with the stock switch on vistalites and their remote switches and will be using it to operate my drivers.

It's basically a reverse clickly, so if I left it "on" it would act as a momentary :)

The bflex won't fit the stock driver housing though, so I'm having second thoughts...
