Dummy 17670 cell

There was someone on the forum making custom dummy cells from derlin and aluminum. I tried the search function but got no results. Can anyone help me? Mods if this is in the wrong forum please move it. Thanks in advance.

Well you can make your own cast using real 17670 battery and aluminium foil and pour molted lead and cover it with heat shrink wrap. i did that for AA though.

Make a bigger cast so you can grind and polish later so it will look nicer.

just be carefull with molten lead.

I use a short length of wood dowel the appropriate diameter and length. Fit a thin piece of sheet metal alongside and over both ends. Cover with heat shrink tubing or tape. If the assy is too large in diameter file or sand a flat spot on the side of the dowel for the sheet metal. Many battery dimensions can be found here:

Of course you can measure a battery also.
