Yesterday my first LED flashlight arrived, along with a sku.3499 charger from dx. I've seen the review in the cradle charger roundup (http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=229923). It says these can take a long time to charge, and the open circuit voltage is 4.27. My DMM measures OCV at 4.20.
I was trying to top off my batteries yesterday, and the LED wasn't turning green. So I left them in it overnight . This morning, the LED was still red, and the batteries measured around 4 to 4.05. I put a battery back in it an hour ago, and its still slowly charging.
Do you think my DMM is wrong, or is the charger just putting out less?
If its the charger, its kinda tempting make a habit of putting it on the garage floor and letting it charge overnight.
thoughts?
