E1L tail disassembly

I just bought a McTC for my E1L, will the switch in it's stock tail fit into the new one? If so, how do I remove the switch from the stock one?

There's a small retaining ring on the outside that you simply unscrew. I used a pair of needle nose pliers.

But this switch doesn't fit in the McTC tail, hmmmmmm
