E2 vs E2e weight?

I just noticed on the Surefire site that the E2 was 4oz and the E2e was 3.3.

Can anyone verify this? And what makes the difference?

Good question.

With the slightly larger bezel, you'd think they were equal, or the E2 just a skosh lighter.

I'm highly doubtful that the switch from Lexan to Pyrex made that kind of difference...
