I don't know what driver they are going to use in the end for the M2X - but if the C2800 light engine is pumping 2.8amps into the the 4 die MC-E - thats only 700mah for each die - so its not much more light coming out the front - thence why M2=900 lumens :ironic: and M2X=800 lumens :ironic: - but of course two totally different beam profiles.
D bin SSC P7 is spec'ed at 800 to 900 lumens at 2.8 amp, they just picked the highest possible emitter lumen, of course what you'll get is a lot less.
