Real Quick Question - I am in law enforcement and I am going to purchase the eagletac MX25L3C.. Do I get the Nichia 219 or the XP-G2? Thanks

Is the MX25L3C really a good form factor for law enforcement? I think they have other lights that would be better, like SX25L2 turbo NW.

Vinh builds modified versions and frequently sells them to law enforcement. He says they love those lights.

I dont own the actual light in question, but i would go for the nichia 219 as said for colour rendition.

I own the mtg2 version and that's what vinh says is so popular with police.

I would highly recommend that version. Tons of output for lighting the whole area. It will give you a more broad view when searching.
The smaller emitters would be more focused giving you a smaller field of vision.

I don't have the lights in question, but I suspect the Nichia's output is too low to be ideal for law enforcement.

The light in question has 6 LED. The output is 1800lm for the Nichia. How much lumen do you need? The Cree verison has 700lm over the Nichia. The flashlight NYPD uses is around 40~60lm. I don't think it would make a difference unless you're in the woods or something. The light seems overkill if it's gonna be use in the cities. With that said I would choose the Nichia over the Cree.

6 LEDs? Nichia should be fine then.

Visual difference between 1800 and 2500 lumens isn't that noticeable.

Just got mine with Nichia LED and I am impressed with the tint this light has. It has a very warm color light than any other LED flashlight I have.
