@lebox97

Tod, are you able to request this light (or drop-in) with a SFT40 5000K emitter?

@Lips

I sure don't know, but you're asking the right party. If you don't get a quick response, you might find it better to submit that question via the web contact form, or to [email protected]. Those always gets me a quick response. I'm not sure about via CPF.

My new P200 LR is available w/ that emitter, so it's entirely possible the model you mention might also be, as a 'special order'. Some of my ETs were ordered exactly that way (as special order). Good luck!

He was active yesterday, giving him a little adver!

How do you like your P200 LR? Which emitter did you get?

I have been wanting to try the twist head to change output levels for a while now... $99.90 seems high but changing levels without bumping a switch looks like a winner...

The PRO model puts out allot of power. I have the SFT40 5000 in his Sportac V2 drop-in inside a Malkoff MD2. The turbo is a monster!

Mine has the 519A 4500K. I'm liking it a lot. The output pattern is of course a bit different from the majority of my lights using 'conventional' reflectors, as expected - but I'm finding it very useful in practice. Its LED:OTF ratio is also pretty high, so there's little optical waste / inefficiency, which doesn't hurt. I'd 'buy it again tomorrow if I lost mine today'. It's also likely the shortest 1x18650 light I have w/ a 'proper' switch, and that too is a +.

Regarding the interface: Historically, I generally avoid all rotational interfaces w/ flashlights, as most I find fundamentally flawed, and I did not really expect to like it much. I tried my first one (also ET) primarily to get the emitter it featured, and figured I'd try the interface too. I think the P200LR is my third ET light using that specific control interface. Clearly I was surprised, and have found it to be an excellent and very practical control interface in actual real world use, and the more I use them, the more I like them. I still can't imagine another rotational control I would like, but this is the exception. The old dog can still learn a new trick, and this is a good example;-) Lesson: As long as I'm still breathing, I need to keep an open mind. The configurable level for two of those output settings is also a big +.

I must also say that now having more ET lights than I ever would have anticipated, I believe every one of them is worth what I paid for them. They may all die tomorrow, but so far, they have been a good value (from my perspective). Add to that having the advantage of the best distributor support I think one could find for lights from a non-U.S.-based manufacturer, that has contributed to my satisfaction. A direct e-mail always gets me a very fast response.

That light you're considering seems to be a very nice design for a $100 TAC light.

Hi guy's.
almost all EagTac models use the same mode changing UI ~
head tight is always max/turbo,
head slight loose drops a level,
head slight more loose (approx 1/2 turn from full tight to loose) drops another level...
most models have three levels from head twist UI, some have have 4 levels, some have 2 (the reverse clicky standard D series)
= very easy predictable and reliable UI, you will always know what level the light will start up on before switching ON (head tight, slight loose, 1/2 turn loose).
(a few other ET models have head switch button/s offering similar UI = always start on MAX, or low via switch button)

The T25C2 price is higher than other models due to the replaceable LED module/extra pieces n parts needed to manufacture.
There are other ET models available with same LED and/or higher output for less money than T25C2. (ie the ONLY advantage of T25C2 is the user replaceable LED modules ~ if you are not needing/plan to swap out LEDs ~ other models will be the better less expensive choice).

Most folks now go the "rechargeable" route. ie lights that include battery and built-in charging circuit in head, using a USB cable for easy battery top ups without removing battery.

check out D-series, P-series, T-Series rechargeable models.

Cheers
Tod

Tod with IlluminationGear steered me to the Model T25L-R MKII (Here) instead of my first pick in first post.

Head rotation for 3 output levels (Low - Med - Max), USB charging and Tactical Forward Clicky including Momentary with Programmable Tailcap Strobe and Battery Level Report System.

Having EagleTac custom install a SFT40 - 5000K Emitter, as it normally doesn't come with this emitter.

Cool! I hope you'll share some initial thoughts / impressions on this after you get it in hand and have a chance to push the button a few times!;-)
