1:05pm Pacific time in San Diego, California. I'll check for sure at the earthquake center website. It was really small but it felt like i was on the top floor of a building when i'm on the first floor of my house. WIERD!

YES...there was an earthquake. Here are the details:

"A light earthquake occurred at 21:03:59 (UTC) - Coordinated Universal Time on Tuesday, December 10, 2002. The magnitude 4.4 event occurred 60 km (37 miles) SSW of Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. The hypocentral depth was 6 km ( 4 miles). "

If it wasa 4.4 magnitude 37 miles SSW of Mexicali, then it must have been 1 or 2 in magnitude when it reached San Diego.

Boy....the little things that excites us Californians. A whimpy earthquake and a 10 minutes thunderstorm is all to get me goin. Come on nature...BRING IT ON! We need some rain here in SD.

I get bulletins on those over 4.5 in the U.S. and over 5.5 worldwide. Haven't received a report on this one yet...may indeed have been a smaller one, though shallow close to you? We'll see what they say. They are "eye openers" eh?!
