Hello everyone, I've been looking around CPF for a while but this is my first post. So this will function as introduction if you like as well as a question. I've decided to pick up an EDC light obviously. From my own preferences and research I have come to both the 4Sevens Quark AA series and Nitecore AA's, specifically the D20 and D10. I will be going with either one pair or the other to maintain consistency in UI. I will mainly be using the smaller of the two for a both a general work light and for CC. This has lead me to a struggle between throw, quark, and area lighting, d10. I will grab the other of the pair if I know for a fact I will be using that day or have a suspicious I'm going to have a really bad day, just like I would grab an extra pistol mag for carry. As I am completely inexperienced I'm looking for any advice anyone has. In the extremely likely case that I have left out relevant details that factor into your advice ask me questions and I will be more than happy to clarify anything. I am currently leaning slightly toward the quark to get most of the range possible to match my effective pistol engagement range, thinking that for general work it will be sufficient and if needed I could take a dremel tool to a fenix diffuser dildo to widen the opening if it wont fit on the quark. I am planning to use sanyo eneloops in either light.

Does anyone own or a have beamshot of a Quark AA R5 that will give me an idea of the spill or area light at close range, maybe 3-5 feet?
