Hey guys,

trying to decide which one one I want for my daily driver.

I guess it it comes down to size and battery

The Aeon is smaller and packs quite a punch for its size. CR2's are obviously less common but for that you get a smaller package and super long run times.

the Haiku using AA is larger, slightly lower run times.

any preference here?

I'd take the AA and run NiMH. I can't imagine wanting to run a cell like a CR2 daily. I'd never use the light.

I have an Aluminum Aeon and an AA Haiku and they are such different lights that it is tough to really compare them directly?

Each is pretty great for what they are too.

Went with aeon and pretty happy with it. Might pick up an HDS for when I want something larger
