EDC to the resuce true tales

I always enjoy reading posts re true tales of EDC lights (and CPFers) coming to the rescue. Occurred to me that other CPFers might enjoy and contribute, with a thread devoted to the devoted. Half the fun of having and using EDC is the look on people's faces when we just happen to have one in those moments when nobody thought a flashlight would be needed, the squinting shock and awe of lumins unleashed, and the humbled misery of those who usually mock our carry, but eat the crow of gratitude. Perhaps CPFers can start with a simple headline intro to tease each true tale: My startup entry: "The auditrium": I was attending a large presentation with over 300 in the audience when the master of ceremonies (MC) approached me in the crowd, looking for a random volunteer, confessing confessed that the lighting for the speaker's platform had failed. The MC informed me they were hunting for a janitor's falshlight and asked if I would be willing to hold the flashlight for the speaker to read his notes. My partner who has long mocked my EDC rolled his eyes and held his head in his hands as he lamented out loud to the MC that there was no need to hunt down the janitor, and that he (my partner) would never hear the end of the matter. :shakehead Fenix P1D CE came out of my pocket, and went tail first on to the podium, providing better light than the podium light would have if it had worked in the first place. :thumbsup:Amazed gratitidue from the speaker and MC, and grimaces from my partner:nana:.
