Although I own a number of LED torches, ranging in size from the photon II to the Lucido C10, I'm primarily interested in "pocket sized" LEDs.

To my mind, the 3 most important things to consider are size, weight and output, I'm not too concerned with running costs.

Not sure if this would work, but I was wondering if someone had produced an "efficiency rating" chart based on size(mm) + weight(g) - output(Lumens), or something similar, to create an overall efficiency rating, with the lower figure being the better?

I'm not aware of any chart like that.

If you are looking for the smallest, brightest & lightest LED pocket sized light then I would say your options are:

1. Arc LS with 123 battery configuration
2. Surefire E1(e) with KL1 LED bezel
3. A well made user mod

The Arc LS being the:
Smallest: 2 3/8" [6 cm] long & 1" [2.5 cm] in diameter
Lightest (aluminum, don't know the exact weight)
Brightest for it's size (~15 to 16 lumens regulated for 2.5 hours)

The E1 w/KL1 is a little brighter (17 lumens regulated for 1.5 hours) and a little bigger than the Arc LS.
