I just bought this HID yesterday on sale half price, Canadian Tire. I had my eye on it for a while and said if it ever went on sale... whammo.



I realize what some posters have said about candle power ratings, but for some of these lights that we buy the ony rating we might see on the package is CP.

Sometimes there's a wattage, but not always do we see the lumens.

So, we buy what impresses us and I'll return what by be junk.



This spot is rated at 25MCP with 35watt HID bulb. While I have many spots, 1MCP, 2MCP. 3MCP, 10MCP and a 20MCP, this is my first HID @ 25MCP



I'll soon gather my big guns, go the golf course and do a comparrison test.

It said do not overcharge else the battery will leak etc. I'm thinking with all the technology in the lights a simple voltage regualtor in the charging circuit would not break the bank. I've had a couple of lights like that. I wonder why they cut corners there?

BTW as for the Stanely HIDs and few other brands our local Wal-Marts. Lowes and Home Depots don't carry these lights, at least not in Ontario. Any other Canadians know of good store for these lights? I know Bass Pro has a few EDCs but little in the way of HIDs
