They say they're going to rebuilt it with fiber....but we're still waiting on that.
Comcast, for as bad as they are, did get their system back up after a couple of months and the local guys did some heroics to keep it going. Initially all of their nodes were powered off cheap Home Depot generators and they had people running around with pick-up trucks full of 5-gallon fuel containers between all of the nodes...for months.
