Emitted Power of Luxeon LED??

Hi,

Can anyone help me with the following problem?

I am trying to build an illumination unit with white LEDs which is supposed to illuminate a humans face, therefore also the eye.
According to EN 60825 LEDs are íncluded wherever the word Laser is used. To calculate the "maximum permissible exposure MPE" I need to know the emitted light power in W and W per sqaremeter, and that for the different wavelengths included in white light. The luxeon spec just has the lm and lux in it and I don't know how I can calculate or measure these values correctly.
Any help would be appretiated.

Regards

David

Total emitted flux is probably in the 60-100 milliwatt range for a properly-driven 1W Luxeon component. Varies by emitter color and drive current, of course.

A bare emitter has a wide viewing angle, so the amount of power reaching the eye is small, plus the emitting junction is very large when compared to a laser, so the spot cannot focus into an area small enough to do any permanent damage.

I don't have the specific info you're after though, so my usefullness in this subject ends right about here.
