Encounter with the Beast

I have an close encounter with the Beast!!!
I ran to a local retail shop with a bunch of local flashaholics and got some hands on experience with the Beast. It was a serial no. 008 out of 100! According to the shop owner, the last one was snatch up within a week! The Beast appeared to be surprisingly light with a very rugged built. The output was crazy bright and was able to light up a whole city block. For its size, I was amazed to find out it can be operated with a single hand. However, the tint of the beam seemed to alternate from a HID like to a slightly yellow back and forth /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif. Here is some pics:

What is the ugly green thing on the end. Can not really see that in other shots i have seen??

The green plastic ring is the bezel protector comes with the package. Ugly but very functional.

My Cateye Stadium 3 has a 21watt HID bulb and it too changes colors. Does anyone know wha the bulb wattage is in this?? I wonder if it is the same.

I should specify, it is a bikelight, a very bright one though, all flood, pretty amazing.
