Like a bunch of you, I got stuck with a bunch of the defective Energizer 2500's. They are definitely showing signs of deteoriation.

I'm curious if running them through the Maha C808M conditioning process might help them out a bit? Or should I just consider them a bad investment?

This is exactly what I've done. Once, or even twice through the soft charge/conditioning process will help manage the deteriorization; it's better than chucking them wholesale.

Then, attrition over to almost any brand of low self-discharge AAs.

I'd say once you can replace them with better cells send them off for recycling.

They are bad, bad, bad batteries in my experience. They do not all have the same self discharge rate and end up at different voltages when charged, etc, etc...

Its best to boycott products like these.

I didn't know I could do that.
Exactly what do I tell them?
Tell them in your own words exactly what is wrong with the Energizer batteries you purchased and why you are dissatisfied with them.

We should not put words in your mouth. It's best if you relate your experience as you see it.

I now only use the 2500s on things I want to use that day. I fast charge them in my 1 hour rayovac or the 15 min energizer charger then use them for the larger capacity and when they are discharged toast them again. when I have something I want on standby to use at an instant I don't use them at all. I find my rayovac 1AA headlamp is perfect for them I use it daily to do things and the 2500 has extra runtime over then LSD batteries when it is used within half a day to a day of charging it. I don't worry about overdischarging them either... put them in stuff that drains batteries down to nothing without worrying because you can throw them away then.
