Energizer 4D LED Folding Lantern

Just spotted this jolly red giant at Home Depot for $19 and some change. I'd only seen it at Target before, and for something like $25. If I didn't already have a bunch of various lanterns I'd probably grab one.

I've got the 4D folding fluoro version, is the 4D LED variation any good or are they teh suck?

I have one but have not tested the runtimes yet. They claim 245 hours. It certainly puts out as much light as my 2 River Rock LED lanterns. I'm still waiting for customer service to to tell me why the peel-off label mentions 4 LED's for "longer battery life" and 8 LED's for "brightest light." In reality, it runs on 8 LED's in either mode, just dimmer or brighter.

Update (5-11-07) ... The Energizer folks sent an e-mail saying that there is no 4 LED mode. It was a misprint. The lantern works on 8 LED's with two ouput modes.
