Energizer HD Vision AA Polarity question

Good day flashaholics!

I was at Autozone this morning and they had the Energizer HD Visions on sale for 5$ so i bought one,

first thing is i installed the batteries wrong and of course it didnt work so reinstalled them correctly and the light works fine now but how do i know if i did something to it? I dont think they have reverse polarity protection.
great little light for 5$! just curious and thanks in advance.

Odds are it would have blown the circuitry if it did any damage.
