Hi guys, it`s been a while since my last post, hope you`re all fine.

My EL ergo has been acting strange lately, it suddenly turns on, done some research and found that it does this when it gets near a cellphone or some electrical spark or EMP? ( When I turn on the room a/c. for example)

Is there a cure for this ? I think if I cover the inside with aluminum or some other metal this would help, any suggestions ?

Thnx

Have you checked the battery voltages? Mine started doing really strange stuff (turning itself on/off, flashing instead of steady, weird sequencing, etc.) and it turned out that one cell was really weak. Replaced the one cell and the thing "ran like new".

Other than that, if it is emp, a Faraday shield might work. Simplest would probably be aluminum foil grounded to V- (just be vewey, vewey careful it doesn't touch any other V points. Even AA cells pack a wollop. You would always go the coated aluminum foil route... plastic inside.
