Is peak out of business or what? I have looked at that alleged website and can find nothing new. I was hoping for a lug bodied Baltic with a Cree or Rebel Q5.
They must have made their money and lost interest in innovation.

Peak uses Seoul Semiconductor LEDs which use Cree dies. The Seouls use a very wide range U bin of up to 118 lumens @ 350mA which equals an R2 bin cree. Once Seoul rolls out the V bin, that will be a rather large jump in output. Cree puts out very narrow range bins although easier to understand, it is not giant jumps between the bins. My Cree bins are P3 and Q5 and there is a difference.

I have a Peak Baltic AAA SSC light running at "SP or super power" which is the highest output version they make. It will go against the king KD SSC-U AAA light with a runtime of 20 minutes. The KD is not "tool grade" (far from it) but the Baltic fills that title.
