I will make a pic of what I'd like to send in and decide on the coatings.

I would be VERY interrested in links or pics of available coatings on titanium, both on raw machining finish and bead blasted Ti (I know it can make a big difference). If anyone has this please share.

Also : does DLC give a glossy almost-black color or the "oily" look I see on the chipped coating shown in post? I don't like the uneven oily look...
 
I guess my eyes are not as good as they used to be - after looking at Lux's picture I have the same combination but my delghi head is black. So I will want all of my 6 pieces processed together so that I can hopefully get a good HAIII match. Just send me a PM with your addy info whenever it's time to ship you my host.

Mammonth purchaser, would you guys prefer an option where I match the color of the tailcap to the body. That way all you need to pay is the tailcap anodization (HUGE saving).

cnjl3: From what I can see it's 6 pieces. How about $70 tentatively. I think this will be in the ballpark +/- $15.

My order:

Spy007 in AlTiN with as little polishing as possible.(Preferably none) Milkyspit is disassembling and shipping it to you. I also need the trits removed and if possible reinstalled afterwards.

Is it possible to get the following plated in 24K Gold?

A McClickie-Mule that currently has EN Nickel plating to be stripped and polished and 24k Gold plated.

If so I'll send it in!

Just a refresher on Delghi's old thread. He offered HA-III Natural & Black. Mine is Natural, and exactly matches H22A's Tailcap. Your post shows you ordered HA-III Black from him.

Keep in mind that two different base HA colors are offered in this service gray & black. We'll get a concencus prior to coating as to which specific shade of each.

I would like to add one (1) Mini-Mag AA for HAIII-Gray or NAT.

Typically "properly done" HA lights are produced in the following process.
1) Machine the body from stock (no threading)
2) HA the entire light
3) Machine out the thread.

Now what we're going to do is HA over the thread and cleanup only the electrical connection.
What you will experience is a "rougher" turn on the thread. Krytox, Nyogel and other grease lubricant are necessary to minimize gauling.
I Know it's not a perfect process but that's pretty much all we can do as a RE-COATING process.

Re-think on this, 2 x A19 extenders ordered from Optics Planet and on their way to you (I hope). Assuming you can purchase the 6P I'd like a 6P and 2 A19s in HA gray/natural and no polishing please.

Guys, I here's the color / sheen goal for the HA color ... metalic gray similar to the recent Audi A4 or Toyota Rav4.

It's slightly darker than typical HA that you've seen
The polished darker finished will take your breath away.

Will it be possible to danodise a SS part that is presently coated in AlTiN and have it reanodised HA Black?

I want my bare aluminum Griffin 123 and a 17670 tube mirror polished and HA Gray
and
#94 Gotham mirror polished(as long as it doesn't round off the milled edges too badly) and chrome plated
All lights sent disassembled.
