MEDUSA- look at it and turn to ash. I suppose I should elaborate.

First let me say that it isn't finished yet. Second let me warn you that anyone who denys that it can and will be made by me will be hunted down and then seared with the finished product.

Here is a description of the E.m. -

Picture a PT solo headlamp. This is the base housing. Now what I have done is drill a hole in the batt compartment cap.

Anyway as I was saying, the compartment has its own little hole right under the lamp assy that allowed gas to get to the hydrgen eater. + and - wires are run from an object to be explained in a minute to the batt. comp. by way of the hole in the cap and then up into the assy area by the other hole. Then you secure the + and - wires to their respective poles on a sl6 assy. and set the sl6 assy into the assy area. Now the lens cap is screwed down for a perfect fit.

---this ends section one - stop the tape and turn to side B and press play-----

You remember the "unamed object" that the + and - wires came from ? That is the power source. It started as this :
edit: just go to clevergear.com and search for "remote light"

I plan to change the power supply to 6 1.5 v batteries and run wires from the spot where the lamp made contact. The two wires coming from it will be long enough to reach up to the headlamp but not too long to get tangled up while underneath a coat.

>>>>>To put it in perspective<<<<<<

While this could be a nice way to catch people off gaurd and blinding them .after all no light i know of turns itself on without even being touched. I plan to use it for biking- most times that I feel the need to REALLY see my surroundings I'm not in a possition to take my hands off the handlebars, winter camping- hands to cold to fiddle with a light? no need - press a remote!, camping- look- I sleep in a hammock in a mummy bag most times and that bump in the night can't wait for me to wriggle out of my cuccoon and turn on a light - this way i need only to touch the remote and look at the source of the disturbance . Heck, I could go on and on but you get the point - Bright, lite- no batteries on your head anymore, and it lets you be a lazy bum.

LIFE . IS . GOOD .

Can I get some applause here?

Lovely...I'm

Remote light looks like a nice product as well, I may have to get one of those and try my ultimate tent light again.

Sounds pretty cool, Aragorn. I'm always interested in lights for mtn. biking and camping. Keep us updated, and post some pics if you can.

APPLAUSE!

I have thought of useing an sl4 assy since it will be easier. The wires inside the paracord give the light a very clean and proffessional look. I am also going to attempt intigrate a constant on and time disable switches.

Any suggestions? Parts that would be handy?

Thanks for the applause!
