Faint rattle sound on Extreme... but all seems ok

Hi, I own a wicked extreme for 2 weeks, and now I have noticed that when I shake it slightly, a faint rattle sound can be heard sometimes, however the laser seems as bright as the first day and I can burn through trash bags and so.. may I be worried? oh crap, its a ticking time bomb get rid of it send it to me and hurry!!!! No just joking it could be any little thing, or anything more serious, If its under warranty ask wicked about what do do, honestly if its working fine it should be ok just keep an eye open for performance drop.

it might be the batteries... take off the endcap and hold the batteries firmly in place and try rattling it again.. is it still there? can you detect which part of the barrel the rattle is coming from?

My Wicked Extreme rattles when lightly shaken, but when I remove the batteries from it, the rattle disappears.

SuperBert, I did what you said and the rattle is still there, also without the batteries. I think it's coming from the middle of the pen, not from inside the laser barrel, it coud be the ld driver... I supose mca, crystals and ir filter are on his place /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Mine made a slight rattle (regular leadlight), and what I did to get rid of it is use a little bit of tape, and wrap it around the top battery. Then, just get it in there so it doesnt rattle, but you can still get it out easily.

Also, if its a very very slight rattle, it could just be the switch inside the case rattling around, I know mine does, and if I hold the button slightly, the sound goes away.
