Fastest C/D NiMH Charger?

Hi all, just wondering if anybody knows what the fastest C or D NiMH recharger is (one that isn't only timer controlled for shutoff)? Question 2: has anybody thought of modding one of those 30 minute or 15 minute chargers to work with larger batteries (obviously they wouldn't be 30 minutes but they would still be pretty fast) or is it possible?

The Triton will charge at a rate up to 5.0 amps.

Howdy Tom - How versatile is the Triton? I already know that it will pretty much charge up any chemistry known to man. Is it strictly for Batt Packs or does it have the ability to charge 1 to 8 single cells at a time? You would probably need to rig up something for that I would imagine?

Hello Dave,

To charge 8 cells, you would have to do them in series (or parallel) in a holder of some sort. Once you have your holder, connectors, leads, etc. set up, you would be ready to go.

You could charge your cells in series, and then every once in a while check them individually to make sure they are well matched.
