What do you like so much about the T3? It's always seems like a really overbuilt oversized single AA light to me.
It has enough metal to remain water resistant after a fall compared to thinner walled options, although I would have preferred it to have even more metal on the bezel or make it steel + easy to disassemble, always have enough spare parts, easy to replace the LED for testing and the driver is good enough for me. All the rest are already perfect enough for not to disassemble them, + he's the same size as all of them. Smaller ones are not as comfortable in the hand
And I'm also not sure that this is anodized, it looks more like paint, it wears off very quickly, it's about 5 times younger than all the others with the same use
And it also has a bad clip, I broke mine when I tried to bend the tip up so that it would fit properly on my jeans. With another Convoy it happened without any problems, but here it instantly burst. The best clips - McGizmo (and some good knives too, and by the way they are very similar in shape - Benchmade/Emerson/ Spyderco/Protech, there is a feeling that they order from 1 place)
A small update:
2 ordered T3 arrived. One black with flood TIR and 219B 4500K, the second silver with a reflector and 519A 5700K. The silver Convoy did not work very correctly, it worked a little brighter than set at a low level, and at all levels, regardless of brightness, it consumed about 1-1.2 amps and got very hot. Technical support on Ali sucks, but fortunately Simon is always in touch, he sent a spare driver, as it turned out, he sent 2 of them. The driver was easily changed and everything works great. I made a comparison between 519A and HP-R. At the same levels and currents through fresh batteries, the 519a has a hotspot of 300 lux, the XP-P gives 1800 lux. Since I am not exactly 1 meter from the lux meter, I cannot trust the size of the numbers, but their ratio of 6 to 1 is correct. Now I see T3s on sale with OSRAMs installed, I think they will give about the same beam as the XP-P. I also bought XP-P separately in the Convoy store.
