2D 4w SSC:

They also have a 2AA 3w CREE that's not listed on the "direct" site. IIRC it's GBP10.

The D and C cell lights come with batteries.

Thought people might be interested. The 2C one makes a pretty good glovebox torch

Seems not at all bad to me. Pretty tight spot, then failry pronounced steps in brightness, but not bad.

Oooh, I am going to have a look at that, I haven't been impressed with the ones I have seen there so far. Last time I checked, a couple of weeks ago, I didn't see anything other than Luxeons.

Do you know if it is regulated or direct drive?

The last good ones they had there seemed to be a one-off GBP8 3w 2xAA luxeon which came boxed with an AAA keychain light around Christmas time (not the Tesco Finest one). I picked one of them up.

As for regulation, I'm not sure. I'll have a closer inspection of my 2C one tomorrow!

I was looking at the 2d 4w torch yesterday in the trowbridge tesco, they have 5 on the shelf, but i wasnt impressed with the finish of the handle, very rough and fine score machining marks were visible under the anodising when i looked more closely at one

Are there any other UK deals that anyone knows about on torches ?, most of my collection seems to be from the far east nowdays

Those seem very good prices.

Largepig - how do they perform? Any comparisons? It'll be a while before I can go to my nearest big Tescos to have a look, but if they're any good...
