I got a chance this morning to check out the Outdoor Retailer's Expo at the Salt Palace Convention Center in downtown Salt Lake City. First of all, I was quite surprised at the sheer volume of the thing. I had never had opportunity to go, and had no idea how huge it was. It's not open to the public, so the entrance pass courtesy 4Sevens and Fenix-Store was quite the treat. Thanks David!

Of course my wife and I had to stop by and check out the Fenix booth. I was impressed:

As you can see they had some nice signage, catalogs, and some lights out to play with.

There were also a couple of display cases with various lights:

I liked the helmet mounted lights, which were strobing and s.o.s.ing:

I also thought the fishbowl with goldfish swimming around the illuminated E1 and P1Dce was a nice touch:

Great job Fenix guys! :twothumbs

And finally, a quick idea of what the rest of the place looked like:

an event not open to the public ...how are they suppose to show the goods to be showcased to people?

Did the water boil?

I wonder if you put a Rebel L2D premium 100 on Turbo in the fish bowl, if you end up with fish soup?

Cool pics! Nice to see David's Fenix booth so well equipped!

Can you imagine what that place would've looked like if the house lights were all turned off for a moment and a room full of light freaks did a quick ceiling bounce test... what a light show that would have been! :faint:

thanks for the report.

Wish I could have gone, But then I would have to bought more lights!!!!!:D

Thanks for all the positive comments. :)

The Outdoor Retailers show is for retail vendors - places like sporting goods stores, camping stores, etc.... people who you would buy the stuff from. They were all there looking at the different products and making deals with the wholesale providers (like 4Sevens) to carry stuff in their stores.
