Just curious, is anyone going to mod a Fenix EO with the new Nichia DS LED? I read where Arc has upgraded their AAA lights with the new DS LED and are claiming that they are twice as bright.

No, but I sure want some or for Fenix to update the EO with the new DS LEDs like Arc has done.

I would love a new EO with the Nichia GS. Over double the output and the same great flat regulation!

I'm not so sure about more light on the E0 myself... I like the colour for the night-time walks to the bathroom- less painful than a brighter, fully white light source would be.

I use a coin cell light with amber led for that. Specifically, an Inova Micro. The led in the Micro is in a socket that can easily be replaced without soldering. A red would work well too, and it has a hi and low that is easy to get to.
