Hi guys
First post be gentle.
I have just purchased the above headlight as I spend most of my day pulling data cables under the floor in a ex mod nuclear bomb proof bunker (now a data center).
Sorry I digress. What I'm after is a case to protect the headtorch when not inuse as the light was alot of money, and don't want to get it scratched up.🙁
Thanks in advance
ade
(I am also the proud owner of a fenix tk15 awsome torch)🙂🙂

no such light as a HD11. maybe you mean the HP11?

i don't think Fenix makes a case for headlamps. the ones from Petzl and Princeton Tec are probably too small.

i keep my headlamps wrapped in a bandana inside a small plastic food container.

Some pelican case will be good enough 🙂

Hopefully someone can post a serious answer as I just received my headlamp and would hate to have it scratched up in my pack when not in use. I have not tested the headlamp yet on the trail but will do so in about two weeks on my first backpacking trip. I will be hiking at night so the headlamp will get quite some usage. Meanwhile using it inside the house it is so bright it overpowers my ceiling lights. I think it's a bit overkill but so far compared to other manufactures price for output this seems to fit the bill just right and the construction of the light itself is not bad at all considering this is supposed to be ipx6 certified.

Have you looked at the Petzl cases? They are obviously designed to fit Petzl lights but don't see it being too different.

Hopefully someone can post a serious answer ....

Szem wasn't joking, the Pelican would do an excellent job of protecting your new light on the job. For backpacking I'd be looking for a soft cloth bag of some sort, many of which are sold at REI.

I agree with your observation of Fenix headlamps. They think of a headlamp as a handheld on your head.

+1 to all. (Bolster and I think a lot alike on these things.)

A pelican case would be an excellent way to protect your light. Otterbox also makes some excellent crush-proof and waterproof cases as well. Both companies make multiple sizes from ones for small digital cameras, to big enough to store large film cameras and lenses in. Get one and some microfiber cloth to wrap it up in, and put a layer of foam on the inside of the case, and nothing short of a semi running over it will bother your light.

What about a plastic container like you would store leftover food in? Much cheaper, available at Target, Kmart, Walmart, and so on. Granted, you can't drive a truck over it (well, not without damage), but it will keep the headlamp from getting dinged up in a tool bag.

well, this is quite funny, and i wonder how much difference betweed the headlamps and the handheld torch?
as we can see, you can use the ZL headlamp as a flashlight too.
the headlamp just need to more compact, more lightly anf more floody?
