Fenix L2P Question

I just got my L2P and L2T flashlights the other day.
I have no problems with my L2T but I have a question about my L2P: the difference between the hi and low setting seems almost negligible, especially compared to the L2T.
Is this normal?

I thought the L2P was out of production. Or at least not sold anymore at Fenix store.

The L2P, with a Luxeon I, had no high or low. The L2P V2.0, also Luxeon, had a high and low.

My question is how you got the L2P(not V2.0) from Fenix store and why.

I know the V2.0 is available, still a great light for what is it.

Has anyone done a Seoul mod?

If the difference between Low and High is that little, you might want to send the light back for a replacement or a refund.

em erm....the original L2P uses a "R bin 1 watt LED":D

It was a great light in it's day(and still is, compared to the other lights you could buy at the store). I bet many are still using theirs despite the newer LEDs appearing.

Edited, thanks for correcting my mistake.

I have an old L2P (actually 2 - one with a 2AA body, one with a custom 123 body), works good but I'd like to replace the LED in it with a CREE or SSC P4. BUT, there is a lot of what looks like epoxy preventing me from disassembling the heads. Will the reflector work with a replacement LED? Any ideas like boiling or solvents?
Thanks,
Rob

I put a Seoul in my flupic'ed L1P. I must say it works great! I didn't even have to modify the reflector. Just remember to use a spacer between the LED and the pill.
