Fenix TK41 how to access flashing modes?

Yes, I read the instructions, it says to quickly double press the power button. Nothing seems to happen?

However I could care less about them, I will probably never use them... but it does seem odd that an advertised feature isn't there. I do love the UI of this flashlight, the fact that it remembers the last setting is fantastic (you probably wouldn't want to turn it on and find it in "turbo" mode while still half asleep, BTW...)

Got it from Amazon...

but I figured it out. I actually had to read the paper manual because all the manuals online were for the "old" TK41 and I have the new TK41 U2. I just ASSumed they would be the same, but you know what they say about that. Apparently the user interface has changed (for the better IMHO) with the U2, you press and hold the mode button to access those modes, 1 sec for strobe & 3 sec for SOS.

Now that I've accessed them and know they work I will probably never use them again, but still :)

Problem solved :) I had that problem with one of my lights too ones. My TK41 is with a double press, so was my TK35. But for my TK35 I needed a new battery-carrier and since then I have to press-and-hold.
Just a thing I've to get used to.

I do prefer the double press to access the flashing modes.

I have both the old versions of this light and I can tell how both work. The old version works by the double press when the light is on. The new version works with a press and hold of the mode button to bring up the strobe and to change from strobe to s.o.s. press and hold mode button again until it changes.

Same. It's quicker for me. Not a fan of press and hold for strobe/sos. Unfortunately that's the way Fenix is going. All my PD lights are the press and hold for strobe/sos :\

Press-and hold gives me the feeling I have to wait on it. With double press I feel, OK as soon I double press I got strobe/sos.

I can still double press on my lights that operate that way, but my 70 year old right thumb is getting real "creaky" so I sorta like the press and hold option on my RC40, though there is that "delay" mentioned earlier.
