Just bought a Ferei 340 and have to say Im very impressed but I'm wondering if any1 else has any view or opinions of Ferei? Done a search and theres only two threads mentioning them and neitehr contain any info.

As a new "flash head" maybe I should introduce myself and my team.

My team consists of

Ledwave Duo other wise known as granpa cause its old
Surefile 6PL otherwise known as old faithfull cause it never fails
Solarforce L2 R2 known as billy back up
Novatac 120 otherwise known as dogs bollocks
and little brother ferei 340.

I know its sad isnt it how these things grow on you. Maybe post some pics later...

Do you have a link to the light or where you bought it? I'm sure there are still many flashlight companies that are relatively unknown to the community.

Nice group of lights!

Did a search of Ferei 340 and didn't get to that link. Good job finding it.

How much did it cost?

I've done a bit of "testing", I know its not very scientific but hey ho it works for me and it seems a fairish way of comparison...I had tried to do some longer distance comparisons too but the pictures didn't turn out so good. Over the weekend I'll take a stroll down to our local reservoir and see what I can get over the open ground. Some pics can be found here

The lights are shot against a wall 2 meters away. From left to right Solarforce L2 R2, SureFire 6PL, Ferei 340, Novatac 120m and Ledwave Duo (which is really quite old)

What really surprises me is the 340 and the 6PL how "tight" the beams are. The Novatac 120m is a close 3rd but the beam isn't as white. It will be good to see how it performs in a more longer distance comparison. I used the same CR123 batteries in all the lights.

I bought the ferei from www.kmnw.co.uk, I'm also considering the M8 as a cheap light for my .22RF and air rifle which i use for pest control unless anyone can think of naything else.

PS...how do you post pics direct into your post
