finally got some...LSD batteries that is

This week at a national chain drug store, their add comes weekly in the Sunday paper, they have a sale on Duracell precharged batteries. They are like $10.99. You have a choice of 4pk of 4aaa, 4pk of 4aa, or the charger with 2aa.

I ended up buying 3 of the 4pks of 4aa's and one of the charger w/2aa's. The reason I got the charger is because it is more compact, if I go somewhere, and in case my Energizer family charger would give me problems. Which it didn't.

All of the batteries are made in Japan. They have the white ring on top of them, and because of that, they are speculated to be rebadged Eneloops. That is another reason I bought them.

I figured the slight price difference between the Duracells, more exspensive, and Eneloops would balance out when I would figure in shipping for the Eneloops. So I feel I did pretty good.

Now if I had some more money..............

I don't think it is contravening any rules to say where you got the batteries from.

This week Walgreens have the Duracell Pre-Charged on sale for $10.99/4.

Some of the Duracell Pre-charged packaging has a sticker in-front that has an instant $2 discount. The sticker has a bar code that when scanned automatically gives you the discount. These are not rebate offers. You get the discount right away at the counter. Look for these. Not all packages have them.

I read previously on the forum that the Duracells are just rebadged Sanyos. You can also get Kodak brand LSD batteries for $8.99 at Wal-mart. These actually appear to perform as well or better then the eneloops. I don't have time at the moment to post links, but will try to later tonight.

I am glad other people are getting to take advantage of this. I just wish my nearest store had those instant coupons. Bummer. I am still happy though.

I was at Wal-mart today and the price on the Kodaks in my area is actually $8.49/4xAA. The only major downside to the Kodaks is that they are slightly thicker then the Eneloops.
