" ------- We really ought to discuss the logo in the Café but I'll respond here briefly. A logo or 'brand' help identify a product with a 'maker' or manufacturer. The Brand for D.Speck is still in progress, so we thought to provide an interim brand through the one, and currently only product- the Firefly. Once a product and or company reaches escape velocity ( orders exceed supply by 3-6 months) then product and company branding is timely. We hope to make the final brand on the Firefly fairly subtle, enduring and certainly- unoffensive, to as many people as possible. It's probably the first time that CPF members have been invited to participate.Hopefully, we've blazed a new trail for others wishing to do the same in the future. D.Speck, and his flashlight, the Firefly - have matured and evolved to this point. It's understandable that it makes some people uncomfortable but I'm certain that once it is complete, most will be glad that the previously 'Sterile' Firefly has joined the ranks of the glitterati- ie.
