I purchased 3 of the Xenon "Police" flashlights on Ebay a while back. Was reasonably impressed with them. I really like the way they feel in my hand, but the beam quality was more Mag quality than Surefire. I had an extra P60 LA sitting here from when I put a P61 in a G2, so I decided to make it fit. First of all my tool selection for this is limited. I didn't have a lathe to turn the reflector down. I used a dremel w/ a course & a fine sanding drum. It worked fairly well. I think this modified light will replace the stock one I have been using for computer work for the last week.
Next mod I will examine will examine is the possibility of putting the LA from an E2E in one w/ the stock reflector. The biggest problem with these lights is the bulb. The bulb has a huge filament in it & it makes twisty artifacts in the beam. Finally will come the Luxeon mod. Am thinking about a 3W.
It's not much of a mod, but it's a start.
