Hey, guys

I have a BB400 Q3 on the way and have a few questions. What can I do do avoid ruining the sandwich? Will keeping it on for two hours blow it? What kind of warranty does it have? Does is run on full brightness for two hours then diminish in brightness after that? If not, how will I know when the batteries poop out? Does it have a moon mode to inform me when to change the batteries? Thank you for your time and patience. Sorry for my ignorance /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif .

You can run the Sandwich all you want. Running constant will not hurt it. No warranty that I'm aware of. Yes it runs on full brightness for 2 hours & then goes into moon mode. These work great on rechargeable batteries too.

Philip,
After using sandwiches for the last 15 months, I can give you a few pointers.
First of all, get some Loc-tite to keep the flashlight head from moving and it will help sink the heat away from the sandwich. It is pretty amazing the amount of heat will be drawn away when the head is locked down. Put it together with the Loc-tite, adjust the beam to the optics for a smooth spot and then take all the stuff back out. Let dry overnight. The reason you remove the sandwich/optics/lens is so the fumes from the Loc-tite will not fog the parts.
If you are using a Minimag, get the Kroll switch since you just locked the head down! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yellowlaugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jpshakehead.gif
On occasion, when swapping batteries out... remove the sandwich and clean the corrosion on the top LED portion that touches the inside of the battery tube. Use a pencil erasure to remove the gunk and that will ensure you have a good ground.
Since you have the pill out, also clean the positive contact with the erasure, it can get some slop on it from the batteries.
Enjoy your sandwich, it is a great upgrade for small 2AA flashlights.

Thanks, guys! I read somewhere that you can put scotch tape around the sandwich to make it more secure in the light. Are there any dangers when doing this? Thanks again! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
