This thread reminded me of how much I miss using the orig. Parker - the Jotto I guess ?
If I pick up some new ones from Amazon, will they be made in China now ?

Would be a toss-up between the classic colors or the stainless ones ...

Well, when I purchased my Parker pen
from Staples office supply perhaps
5 years ago, it was Made in France.

I use a fellhoelter tibolt (and beat the **** out of it, opening boxes, using it as a hole punch/ pry bar) and mostly use Fisher Space pen ink in it.

Its a RELIABLE ink, even if its not a very high performing one writing wise. A gentleman one a pen forum described it as "consistently, reliably mediocre" which is poignant i think. It's not as smooth as some inks, but it ALWAYS works, and thats good enough for me

That's exactly why I'm a fan of it now - it works every time, in any position, hot or cold. I think the specially developed thixotropic ink is what makes the writing quality on the modest side, but dang, it always writes.

My favorite rides-in-my-wallet pen is the Zebra mini. It's not the ideal thing to write with, but it's always there when I need it. Its length is just about 1/2" longer than the long side of a credit-card, so it is very wallet-able.

Hey, man, I use to take thixotropics just for like, kicks, but now that stuff is too heavy for me.
Back then, though, dude, I *saw* some things. Like, those thixotropics will take you places.

Been using Fisher pens since the 90's. Driving OTR, working security & in the factory. STILL using the original ink barrel, even says a new refill is a $1.50, if only that were still true. Have one with the silver ink that can pass as a pencil til you try & erase it. Has never failed to get the job done. Still my daily pen at work with a 2nd newer pen in my backpack. Really don't think I'll be making a change any time soon

I sometimes use a plastic strip to keep the pen clips from messing up the wallet material...I'm currently using an oPen mini.

I have the Fisher Bullet Space Pen from years ago. I like it because fits in my pocket closed up. I still use it for that and it fits in my wallet closed up.
