Hi.

I am on the lookout for a fixed tanto blade knife.

I have searched quite a bit and found that these are very hard to come by.

Does anyone on this forum know of a good fixed Tanto bladed knife, prefereble plain and not serrated, but that is not as important as the fixed blade.

The Benchmade Tanto Griptillian like the one on the bottom picture is exactly what I would like, but in a fixed blade.

Also this Kershaw 0610st is amazing, but also not a fixed knife.

I am open to various grips but the main thing is the fixed Tanto blade.
They are absolutely beautiful whe nthe blade is in black and would go hand in hand with my NiteCore D10 flashlight :)

Dont pay full price, and dont believe the haters. Some of Cold Steels stuff is crazy overpriced, but most of it is cheap and tough.

I would like to keep it smaller.

The Benchmade 557 would be perfect if it was a fixed blade:

But there's also the Benchmade 553 whiich is the bigger version:

It's a shame they don't make those in fixed blade versions.

I don't know why you would want a tanto, but there are plenty of Kabar and Kabar affiliated knives.

Mostly for display only.

The mentioned Benchmade 557 and 553 is absolutely beautiful and would look pretty on display along with my NiteCore D10 flashlight when not in use.
It looks "stealthy" like a jetfighter :)

How much force would be needed to "snap" the locking mechanism of one of these Benchmade AXIS knives once it is locked?

The Cold Steel model "Kobun" might work for you. Fixed blade, non-serrated, very light weight, sharp as a razor, and fairly inexpensive.

That looks decent.

But I think my choice will be the Ka-Bar 5556 that I linked to earlier. It fits all of my requirements.

I can't shop using regular webshops in the US because I am located in Denmark, Europe and most of those sites don't offer shipping to outside of the US.

Ebay is the way to go for me, and lucily the Ka-Bar 5556 is available fro mthere, which is the knife I like the most.
