I think you should come whether you got the M3LT or not. Honestly, I don't bring my high powered lights along. Most of the time I am on up to 100 lumen only.
What do you mean by "encountered those"? You mean the supernatural? Or do you mean the SPI team that you encountered?
I have been staying overnight there almost every weekend for between 10 to 15 years and have yet to encounter anything, much as I was wanting to experience it for once at least. I have heard of many stories but they remain elusive. Many times I interviewed the people who claimed they saw something, but their stories don't seem to make any sense.
One guy told a story that he was camping at Noordin beach when a lady with a baby in her arms came up to him and offered the baby to him. He said he was scared shitless and called for the police to come fetch him out. Sounds plausible? Not to me. If he is scared shitless don't you think he should be running out instead? Would he even know or remember to call the police and still sit there for them to come pick him up? I have heard of many stories like this but they remain unbelievable and unverified.
I met a bunch who claimed they saw something white flying across and they were scared to hell too. When I started questioning them further they just suddenly became very unsure of what they are seeing and unanimously agreed that it could be an egret flying pass.
Many stories to keep the thrill going though so yes, me and my friends did contemplate on creating an SPI type flashlight outing but many are either too scared to respond, or too busy to go. In the end we gave up. I did however led an SPI group around in Ubin in which I think is probably the most boring outing I have ever encountered.
Again I say, feel free to join me and my friend. We are all flashaholic who frequently stay overnight there just to play with our lights and get away from all the stress in work.
So when your wife is away, come come come! Muahahaha! I don't see anything in Marman beach. I am a regular there. Even the dog is our friend.i will probably join when my wife is away on holiday without me. she's dead against my hobby haha..

True. One of the things that scare me in Ubin is not the ghost but rather being chased by wild boars. On one instance I was bitten by a juvenile female boar and she left a small puncture scar on my right leg. On another one my friends and I was chased by an enraged sow when we cycled pass between her piglet and her. I had told my friend who is leading in front that it is dangerous since I saw a piglet walking across the path but my friend said its ok and insisted on cycling across. My warning was spot on and she gave chase. We got away fine after a hard pedal on our bicycles but it was really scary.I once had an opportunity to camp solo in a tent for several days about 2 decades ago on P.Ubin. Only thing that visited me were wild dogs who took away my food when I went into the bushes for toilet visit. Fang marks were all over the non-food bags they left behind. The way I see it, there are enough scary things happening amongst the living.
Hey guys, so what time is the meet-up? If it's around 10pm or later, I'll probably can't make it though.
(psst....try to stay on topic)
Unlikely to be a clear moonless night. Moonrise at 1613 hr and set at 0350 hr with 84% moon. Still, what is to stop us from playing?Ok, I've asked Sore-Eyez and he's coming too.
Yeah, weather is unpredictable, hope it'll be a clear day without moonlight.
You confirm going? If you are, we will meet say 8pm at Adam food centre first and you can make your way there to meet us.the earliest for me to leave is 8:30pm from funan digitalife mall so whr to meet ?
Sadly, I lend out my D700 to a friend and I am too lazy to carry the D3s along. Hehehe... No photos dude. It was a fun trip. No hauntings and we get to play with all our lights whenever Triode888 turn off his HID Polarion.Andy, do take some photos back for me to look at will ya? Besides me I think you're the only photographer around.
